Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Wow. Tornados are scary.

I'm sorry so many of you are having crap days today.

I'm apparently having a rude day. The guy showing me to the jojoba oil said he liked my dragonfly necklace. I guess I know the right answer, but what I said was "If you think that's cool, you should check out my shoes!" Since, you know, they have more dragonflies.

He took it reasonably well, but I think I felt like a bully by the time I left.

Manager wore jeans in today. Which is totally cheating, since she knew ahead of time.

Watching Set It Off. Well, for at least the next few minutes. I can't believe I ever liked this. It's really stiff and awkward.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I'm sorry so many Buffistae have had shit days, because mine has been kinda great. Busy, but good. Doing paying work for paying clients, signed up for awesome co-working space, got two resume price requests AND I got my price estimate and set up my appointment for my new tattoo (Xmas present from Dan).

Friday at 6pm, I'll get the tat, and then we have dinner at an awesome Indian place with a couple of friends who live up the street from my tattoo place, and a date to watch some movies after.

I'm getting a wrist tat: "eligere." It's Latin for "to choose." I HAVE WANTED THIS WRIST TAT FOR YEARS. But I've always been concerned with job interviews.

I'm a freelancer; I could get an ass tattooed on my nose if I wanted. Well, maybe not. But I am excited about it.

Skin care: I try a lot of stuff. Money dictates what I use.

What I use now: Pond's Sensitive Skin cleanser, Target's eye make-up remover (cheap, effective, doesn't sting, but I don't wear waterproof eye stuff, so I can't speak to that), Aveeno's sensitive skin exfoliator and Olay's Regenerist with SPF. Which I am on my third bottle of, so I totally recommend.

I had a HUGE sample of Lancome's Genifique serum, which was pretty awesome.

If I had bank? Shiseido's Pureness Deep Cleansing Foam (AWESOME), Fresh's Brown Sugar Scrub for face, Lancome's Primordiale serum (when I worked for Lancome, I got addicted. SMOOOOOOTH skin. LOVE), and Smashbox's Tinted Moisturizer with SPF for day, Philosphy's Miracle Worker Miraculous Anti-aging Retinoid Pads and Clarin's Super Restorative Night Cream for evening.

Not that I think about this or anything.

I have a friend who is a Clarins WHORE. She worked for them, and has tried a LOT of skin care, and swears by Clarin's for skin care.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

sarameg, I'm glad your sister and her family are all right! Tornadoes are very very scary.

This was a fucked-up Monday. I hope it doesn't set the tone for the rest of the week.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Yikes for all the shifty Mondays, and yay for Theo's and msbelle's and Erin's job news and double yay for PUPPY!!!

My day was ok, included connecting with someone I miss (who's just on the other side of the Industrial Canal, please just slap my lazy face now.) Also awesome bbq for lunch and even awesomer beer dinner that I just got home from.

I hope Tuesday is much better for y'all!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I got addicted to some nice shit when I worked for a Lancome/L'Oreal distributor, but right now there's nothing I'd rather have than Mario Badescu. It's one of the few email alerts I'm subscribed to, so I can stock up when they have sales and free shipping and the like. And my skin reacted sufficiently negatively to its absence that it's something I'll work out a way to include in my budget.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Watching Set It Off. Well, for at least the next few minutes. I can't believe I ever liked this. It's really stiff and awkward.

But it has gay Queen Latifah!! What's not to love there??

Lancome's Primordiale serum (when I worked for Lancome, I got addicted. SMOOOOOOTH skin. LOVE), and Smashbox's Tinted Moisturizer with SPF for day, Philosphy's Miracle Worker Miraculous Anti-aging Retinoid Pads and Clarin's Super Restorative Night Cream for evening.

I get so confused by the multiple layers of stuff, and the different things for day and night, and so on.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Ok, I also wanted to gripe earlier that I went all over and couldn't find jojoba oil. But ita !'s "ask" approach never occurred to me. However, I still have ten bucks on my gift card so I'll try again. Or get nail polish.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Great news, Theo!

Yesterday I learned not to order bananas foster cheesecake at Longhorn Steakhouse unless you haven't eaten in several days. It was heavier than the rest of my meal combined! Fortunately I found the willpower to eat only about 1/4 and gave the rest to my folks to avoid temptation. (Not as evil as it sounds - my mom is still underweight, though no longer dangerously so, and anything I can do to encourage gain is of the good. Passing that cheesecake on to her is the closest I can come to the direct donation of pounds that I've joked about.)

I just ate a third of a pie. Blueberry pie. So yummy. Omg. I like the crust, but I could just do the blueberries alone. They were "boreal blueberries" from Quebec, via trader joes.
