Wash: Psychic, though? That sounds like something out of science fiction. Zoe: We live in a space ship, dear. Wash: So?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I MEAN ME! (Am also watching that right this minute.)

Hear more from my SIL. Top half of a really tall tree next to their house snapped in two and flung itself down on the roof. Took at some shingles and created a few new leaks, but didn't actually break anything but the gutter (which needed to be firebombed anyway. Maybe NOW it'll be cleaned.)

Seriously, those tornados were fucking close.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I had a crappy errand running day. I got caught up at my desk and forgot I needed to run out. So I rushed to do everything and get back to the bank before 5. First I went to the office supply closing store, except the Wednesday it was closing was last Wednesday. Then I went to the post office to pick up more checks, only I left my endorsement stamps at home. Next the mail store to return my erroneously shipped Nook, woes, and I forgot to also bring the packing materials to recycle there. I did make it to the bank, at least.

So I decided I'd had it and went to blow part of my gift card. I bought Duncan Donuts coffee and herbal tea and bubble bath and a candy bar.

And that made me too late to cook my roast, so it's in the oven now and I ate leftovers for dinner. ::facepalm::

But I'm home safe before the snow, I will survive. Life is really pretty good.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Today is almost over, right? RIGHT???

Between Aeryn spiking a 101 fever this morning and the boiler needing to be reset and one of our hot water heaters springing a leak...all I want to do is curl up with a glass of wine and watch Matrix Revolutions on Blu-Ray. (DO NOT JUDGE ME I HAVE HAD A REALLY SHITTY DAY.)

I would really like the plumber to show up so I can let him in downstairs and then finally eat dinner.

DH is never allowed to go out of town again. Clearly the universe needs him here in Brooklyn or things just start falling apart.

Right. I vote all the way over, if the kids are asleep.

Also, I will cut you for him.

Girl, you know I can take you.

Jessica, I hear you. I had the crappy interview and then have too much work to do--not even hitting the expense reports and filing and things I need to do, I have only written two of the three reports I need to write today, and then one bunch of responses I need to do I also haven't touched. My plan is to write the remaining report tonight while watching TV.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Congrats, Theo!

Today was ok, but this evening has been frustrating. First my dad e-mails me about Persian New Year (mid-March), offering to fly me and the kids out to SF. Yay? Well, CJ has mandatory training the Saturday of that weekend and that is the weekend K-Bug had planned to go down to NM to visit her boyfriend. Sure, I can go without them or try to squeeze flying out and back into Sunday, but gah! This is the first time he has offered to fly us all out and it is killing me that one can't go and the other doesn't want to go.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

So many bad days amongst buffistae! I'm sorry, y'all.

Year of the Dragon, now, so that should be better, right? Because dragons are cool.

Always Anti-fascist!

I would totally date a fellow Wirefiend. I would feel weirder about dating the guy that mentioned he barely stopped to pee between seasons...dude, you must chill.
