Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

After all that back and forth about hiring a student, I emailed the girl making her the job offer on Friday, and I haven't heard from her! She is organizing Pan-Hellenic Rush Week this week, so I am hoping that is it.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm too cheap and flighty to have One True Products in most cases. And this winter has been so dry, I've taken to using straight jojoba oil on my face, hands, hair, whatever.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Ooooh, coconut cream pie. I wonder what I need for that. I could probably do a chess pie pretty easily.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Do we have any American actors saying stuff like that?

Thomas Jane before he went backsies and started maintaining that sometimes letting an older man in West Hollywood "buy you a sandwich" is just letting an older man in West Hollywood buy you a sandwich?

not your mom's socks.

I mean, I'm glad for jobs and puppies, but this day is a motherscratcher.

yes. yes it is.

I'm wound tight because I need to get a CT for the sinus infection crap tomorrow, so what we really needed over here was a nice sewer line backup, right?

right.

I could use some pie.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

sigh ... today is the kind of day that gives Mondays a bad name. I managed to knock over an entire veinte latte (I'd taken the lid off, of course) and it went all over everything, dripped into my purse. And I'm very much afraid I've done somethig serious to one or more of my teeth - I've suddenly become extremely sensitive to cold. If it's not better tomorrow, it's off to the dentist.

Art Crawl!!!

I did not know that LL Bean has a Bootmobile.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Sigh. I am completely unshocked to find that a major reference database I've been using for the past 5 months under the assumption that it was, well, accurate or something, is... not. Everything from mid-2010 through now is accurate, everything from before then is crazyland. This involves case discussion dates for upwards of 2000 patients. I can only presume that, even though it's been maintained in some half-assed fashion since 2004, nobody had ever bothered to use it until I came in August. Add (incorrect) dates to it, yes; use it, no. What the fuck, people?

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Jobs! Puppies! Taxidermy vampire ducklings!

All very good things.

Do people here have deliberate face care routines?

Yep, after much trial and "Oooh, shiny new product!" dithering. Jojoba oil to remove makeup, hyaluronic acid serum under my eyes [link] , layered with Weleda Skin Food, and then Weleda Wild Rose night cream on the rest of my face and neck.

Daytime is Weleda Skin Food under my eyes, and usually Neutrogena SPF 100.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I thought my skin had matured, but when I went back to Neutrogena from Mario Badescu for financial reasons, it turns out not so much. So now I'm enslaved. Nothing I've used of theirs resulted in me break out, but I'm pretty solidly set with their seaweed line and buttermilk moisturiser. They give samples with online orders, so I play around, but what I have gives me the clearest and softest skin I've had since puberty.

How is cold cream used? Is it a daytime moisturiser?

Thomas Jane took back his hooking confession? Pfft.

There's a shoe repair place near Polgara that's had a bootmobile for forever. It's smaller.
