Do people here have deliberate face care routines? Like, more than "this is the convenient stuff I use on my face", and more like "this is the stuff that makes me look like this--anything else I've tried makes me break out/greasy/dry/whatever"?

My roommate emailed me a picture of a runner, standing proud, saying "Later, I will have PIE", informing me it's national pie day. I feel like I should make a pie. Maybe later. I have lots of work I haven't done, first.

For my face - I have things I do routinely - I moisturize a lot, which is partly due to my skin being a bit sensitive and otherwise it gets irritated. I have products I use, like the moisturizer with a light sunscreen. I routinely wash the makeup off my face every evening when I get home. I use hypoallergenic products because they consistently don't irritate my skin - is that what you're talking about?

I mean, do you have a One True Product Line (or combination)? Do you get religious about stuff like that?

ita, synecdochic on DW has a Very Long and detailed analysis of the Megaupload indictment. If even half of what the government is alleging is true, those guys shot themselves in the foot and then bragged about it in internal mail. They violated the DMCA intentionally and kept the evidence on their servers.

I use Oil of Olay Complete Protection for sensitive skin: it's the only moisturizer that gives me sunscreen and doesn't make me break out or irritate my eyes. Nothing else has worked as well, so I'm sticking with it.

I don't have anything remotely touching a routine but I do have some One True Prodcut: Cetaphil for cleansing, Clinique City Block 40 SPF for everyday sunscreen, Vichy 60 SPF for heavy duty all over sunscreen, and I really love Kiehl's Ultra Faacial Moisturizer, but I am using Oil of Olay now, just because of $$. I only use moisturizer in the winter because my face is quite oily in the summer between heat and sunscreen.

I tend to stick with Clinique for most of my makeup and skin care - I started using them back when they were about the only thing on the market that didn't irritate my skin and just stuck with them.
