Spike: Heard what happened up top, offing your dad and all. Don't know if you know this, but, uh…I killed my mum. Actually, I'd already killed her, and then she tried to shag me, so I had to-- Wesley: Thank you. I'm…very comforted.

Um, the written job offer is in. and um. It's for $15K more than my minimum

msbelle, that's totally awesome!

ION, they're sending us home at 2 pm today: turns out there's an Occupy protest and march targeting my organization. Which, I gotta say? Is not really a logical target, given that our role in the issue they're protesting is really tangential (it's got to do with the longshoremen's union up in WA state).

I don't mind going home early: maybe I can go to Trader Joe's!

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Hooray, msbelle!

We drove two hours out to Tehachapi (which turns out to be a totally charming little town in the middle of the desert) AND WE HAVE A NEW PUPPY! It was very hard to choose him out of the pile of 9 adorable puppies, but we managed the herculean task. We also mt the mom, a large and friendly yellow lab and saw pix of the dad, a standard poodle. The seven-year-old daughter of the house was very helpful in the process and these puppies have clearly been very well loved.

He is a boy with black wavy hair, huge paws and big floppy ears. We named him Chet and get to bring him home in three weeks. Yay!

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

AWESOME!

LABRADOODLE IN THE HOUSE!

Scrappy, that's awesome. Puppies are wonderful.

Erm, except when they're demons. Still, Labs are fun, and poodles are smart, so I'm sure you & Chet will be very happy together.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Oh, hey! Look at you, being valued and shit! Dawg!

I'm in the office for the first time in a while. I need to work out how to medicate, etc, for minimal pain and effect on the brane. The bit where I was awake 90m earlier is not the optimal solution. And it's not like it helped me be on time.
