My gawd that's one beautiful son you've got there.

Both Dita and I are in the house! I am on the sofa drinking champagne from a coffee cup and Dira is hiding. I'm not sure she is going to forgive me for today for a while, but at least she has decided which is her room.
Also, I found the leak, and it's in the garage and the roofer was already scheduled for Tuesday. I am calling that a win!
YAY in the house!
Such a cute noodle, msbelle.
Lee, so very exciting!!! I bet that champagne, even out of a coffee cup, is the sweetest thang EVAR.
ENJOY!
My dinner was tuna noodle casserole (the kind with condensed cream of mushroom soup). In my defense DH is at Sundance right now so the kids outnumber me.
Looking at the picture of the formerly-gender-free 5 year old in that article, all I can think is that my next-door neighbors' son (who has been out as a boy his entire life) spends about half his time dressed as a Disney princess. So, congratulations gender-free parenting! Your kid is exhibiting exactly the same amount of gender ambiguity as EVERY OTHER FIVE YEAR OLD ON THE FUCKING PLANET!
(My kids' collection of dress-up clothes is fairly pathetic. Every year right after Halloween I think to myself "I should buy a bunch of half-price costumes and save them for dress-up clothes. And every year I never get around to it.)
On a macro level she hopes her son sets an example for other parents and makes them reconsider buying their own sons trucks or forcing their daughters into tights.
ALL the babies I know wear tights - they're the best way to cover that gap between pants and socks in the winter! (Baby pants ride up, baby socks fall down. It's a thing.)
I'm guessing on a macro level the effect she's having on other parents is giving them something to gossip about. So she is providing a valuable service to the local community.
Lee, hooray!
msbelle, great pics.
YAY LEE!!!.
A glass of wine sounds like a good idea. Imma do that and take pictures of my bedroom with the new layout and stuff on the walls. also, clean.
java, mark me as a friend/contact and I'll reciprocate.
Lee! Had I been online when Dita pulled her shit, I would've told you to check the cabinets. I thought I fucking lost Loki when I had the new bed delivered. No, he was in the cabinets. Now I know to look.
(When I moved, I moved the cats first and locked them all up in a bedroom in the new house with extra bungy cords to hold the nonlatching door and signs warning of death if the door was opened.)
Dork! I've had you as a friend on Flickr for EVER.
[ETA: you've got me a contact]
My dinner was tuna noodle casserole (the kind with condensed cream of mushroom soup). In my defense
No defense needed! I love that casserole, from the time I was a wee one. Is ours the same -- cream of mushroom soup, evap milk, tuna, egg noodles, salt and pepper, then bread crumbs with melted butter on top, then covered with cheese? Now I want some.
