Aw, I have a fondness for those outfits. Jean shorts, but still. Don't think I'd wear them again, but ...I have renewed my fondness for tights. I need some stripey tights again. Skirts+ tights (or thigh highs) + boots are proving more practical for this cold weather than I used to think. Especially when I put on a pair of bike shorts under it all when doing thigh highs (which I really prefer to tights, which fall down these days.) Just the right amount of draft protection.
My car is 18 years old with 199,800 miles on it and I drive 110 miles every workday. Hoping it holds together is not a hypothetical.

My (usually 50-60 minute) commute took 3.5 HOURS today. I left school at 2:40 and got home at 6:15. That sucked.

Mostly I want black and grey, which pretty easy to find but thanks for another source! I wear a lot of black and grey.

Ha! My friend Candy and I spent one Saturday in high school (1991, I think) hitting the thrift store for light colored jeans, KMart for cheap nylons and white tights and RIT dye, and then the laundro mat dying sets of shorts and tights so they matched. My favorite outfit was maroon jean shorts and tights, a black silk button down shirt, and black suede heeled oxford shoes. Damn, I loved that outfit.
