Now tagless for your comfort.

Which would inevitably lead to a reduction of services for high-functioning kids.

Can't say I didn't see it coming.

The early interventions might not suffer too much. Owen wasn't given an autism diagnosis for a couple of years. They still place a lot of younger kids in "communication delay" category before they're diagnosed with autism. But long-term care and assistance will be lost for sure.

Hil, they did quote the head of Autism Speaks--which, of course, many neurodiversity advocates and adult Aspies dislike.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Our last UK trip our credit cards were rejected twice (in two and a half weeks of using the cards a lot) at pubs for not being pin & chip. Both times we used cash. There was never a problem with getting cash from an ATM with our cards, so I would say just make sure you have some back up cash on you in case you need it and you'll be all set.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Oooh, yes! And Drew too! D'Artagnan and the three musketeers. (I don't think I'm missing any other buffista frequent fliers.)

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Towels moved from the washer to dryer. Random things dusted. Next is sweeping the middles of the rooms. I am petering out, but the one after this is easy and kinda fun.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Sweeping is done, shoddily, but that's the point. Time for a citrus break! Then, culling magazines and catalogs. It doesn't take ten minutes if I'm doing it regularly, but I haven't done it since before Christmas, so it will probably also involve some idle browsing.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I've been trying to be ecologically conscious and keep washing my vinyl shower curtain rather than buying a new one, but it's gotten to the point that washing doesn't get rid of the dingy color cast, and I want my bathroom to look nice. Pity this one isn't yet available for purchase.

And I loved the look of this one until I saw the jaw-dropping price tag. I can only assume those circles are made from actual finely hammered gold.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

That is super gorgeous but I am never paying that much money for a shower curtain! I ended up with the kind you can just throw in the laundry, which works for me. I was never able to get the vinyl kind satisfactorily clean. Which reminds me, tomorrow I should throw those in the laundry.

Anyway, I did peter out, but I did pretty good, really. Tomorrow I'll mop & gather and take out the trash & sort the recycling. There's other stuff what needs doing, but that'll get the main stuff done.

I also found a check for $45 while I was culling magazines, so I consider myself well compensated!

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I have done a LOT of work this week. I need a massage. I don't care abouut the cabana boy, unless he's a masseuse who will be bringing me drinks, too.

ION, (cross-post with Write Way) I got my first essay published on Technorati today! Even though they said they wanted shorter articls on more topical...um, topics (brane ded), they liked it so much, they went ahead and published it! YAY ME! I am chuffed!

(The article was rejected from a magazine a while back, so my garage is actual all organized and clean now. But still.)

Sounds like a pretty good FF world tour to me.
