A goodly storm came through Utah last night and I didn't even have frost on my windshield this morning, just some drying water drops. Yeah, this is not a typical January in Utah.

Ugh, my coffee is giving me heartburn. I am going to be DISTRAUGHT if this becomes a regular occurrence.
Dana and meara, stay warm and safe.
Our office coffeemaker is out of commission (actually, it's the socket it plugs into, but the end result is no coffee). Our big boss is a kind and generous lady - she got two big box things of coffee from Starbucks and half and half.
Oh, bless her soul, Todd.
I gave up my mini-Keurig for the greater good of the office. Otherwise there'd be no coffe. According to my boss, everyone just gets their own before coming in in the morning. Uh, no. Not if I don't want to go broke.
whereupon I see my computer and sit down with my coffee and then it's an hour later and I'm either embroiled in the internet or have well launched into work with out realizing there were things I still meant to do before I started.
This is why I think I need some magical computer program that will remind me every day to do things like 15-minute cleaning blocks, drinking water and giving the dog his pills. It should have alarms and possibly nagging and should also track my consistency.
I miss using my SLR. I can't afford to process film and I can't afford a digital SLR. I have a decent digital point-and-shoot that has some manual settings, but it's not the same.
We have coffee provided, but no real creamer, which bugs me. I hate powdered crap.
All of the nurses where I work are crazy for letters after their names-- so if you were a nurse practitioner with a PhD, and were also a legal nurse consultant, your name might be written like "First Name, Last Name, BS, MSN, PhD, RN, ANP-C, LNCC" There are people with way more (FAAN, FNAP, SANE, whatever). I know it is because nurses have traditional been treated as more vocational than professional, and they want to change it, but it drives me nutty.
Today I got an email from another Admin, who listed her name as "First Name Last Name, BA" Now I want to do it just to be silly!
That would be awesome.
So, now I may have two calls about jobs tomorrow? Which is good, but feels like a little much.
I've been in D.C. since Thursday afternoon and I've only worked about 22 hours. This is weird.
Now I want to do it just to be silly!
I've been wanting a new tagline . . .
edit: There. Hooray for titles from the Society for Creative Anachronism.
I have always liked being able to put BS after my name.
Liese, that sounds like a really pleasant routine. Maybe keep a timer by the computer you can set to remind you that you had other things to get back to?
I'm all a jangle with errands that need running but I'm expecting a package that needs a signature on delivery (tracking code says it's out for delivery and I do not have a good sense of when UPS is likely to show up except if I leave it will surely be right then). Maybe making my morning coffee a double espresso was not a good choice.
