I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

meara, I totally feel your pain.

So no written offer yet, but the company sent me directly an online thing to fill out so they could run a credit report and criminal search on me. GOOD SIGN that the verbal offer was not just a HUGE JOKE ON ME.

just ignore my mind.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Oh Lee, my condolences to you. So sorry.

Ugh, not a good winter for aged pets.

And silly msbelle, of course it wasn't a joke on you! You are fabutabulous!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I told my mother that a cute guy I met ten years ago asked about me, and she went bananas. She's totally appalled that I let a cute guy slip through my fingers ten years ago. And she's also convinced that she's failed as a mother with two 40-year old single daughters. She bemoans not setting us a better example, but insists that she should have taught us to make men happy by cooking.

I love learning more things about my mother, let me tell you. She's evidently not dwelling on the low white blood cell count thing where I can hear her, and my general role seems to be distractor. Which is also how I'm functioning for my best friend, who's going through an understandably strange time after the death of her father, with whom she had a complex relationship. Apparently not trying to talk to her about it is key. I'm really good at not talking about stuff. Score!

The check for my car was cut today. I'm giving myself a week and a half to settle on a car. Circumstances seem to conspire against me to have my dreams fulfilled automotively. But I have to stop peeing money with the rental. Fuckit.

I have 8GB on my spare keychain, and I'm surprised it cost less than my cheap keyring. $7.99, 8GB. God bless solid state. I don't expect it to live that long, what with the battering and the glayvin, but as long as I'm only using it to move, not to store, $8. 8GB. Jesus. I am sad that I bought a tablet without a USB slot, but eh. I love it still. I love all my pretties.

Man, the lady that is creepy in The Good Wife is really very creepy.

Yes she is. I just watched Sunday's episode, and MAN it's such a good series!

It's just that our pets are aging as we are. Unfortunately, they do it faster, and we are all of an age to make that call, hit that zone. But fuck, I'd appreciate at least 6 mo without.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

$7.99, 8GB.

What the living hell, where did you get this madness.

oh ita, I think you must have made quite an impression on him to have him mention you after 10 years.

Fry's. God, I hate that place. The cheapest one I can find on their site is 4GB for $6.99. And it's larger than mine, Mine's a skinny little *purple* thing. They have a huge range of insanely cheap thumb drives. Key thing--don't buy them so small you lose them. Made that mistake with the 16GB beauty that preceded it. It was pretty much flush when you plugged it in. It's here somewhere. They also have some pretty big ones--256GB for $799.00. Still on your keychain.

I'm always an episode behind but dayum that show is good.

Oh, yes. It pleases me to no end. Next week looks like shit may go down, word.

I think you must have made quite an impression on him to have him mention you after 10 years.

I do remember being clothed for most of it...
