Do I wish I was somebody else right now. Somebody not... married, not madly in love with a beautiful woman who can kill me with her pinkie!

hip deep in pie

but the government stays open.

I work for gov't and we are always the last to close. The reason is purely financial. If they tell us to stay home, we all get our full day's pay, no penalties to our PTO. If we opt not to go in, or are snowed in, we have to use a vacation day. There have been times when even the military keeps people home and we've had to trudge into work.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Whuhuh. I'm suggesting solutions to a problem I don't understand. I mean, I understand the problem, but I don't understand what I'm suggesting.

Everyone seems to like it, though! So that's a win.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I don't understand what I'm suggesting.

Where you suggesting switching to a second-generation flibbity-gidget?

MAYBE.

Thank god they've moved on to someone else's suggestion I don't understand. However, this meeting is 35 minutes over, and I haven't eaten lunch yet because there's none at home, and I'm going to kill someone soon.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

What ita ! needs to do is start pimping the Whoozyflodget 3G.

I hear the 4G might be released in March.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

That's true, aurelia. ita ! better just tell everyone to sit on their hands for a bit. Until, say, May, when they release the 4G patches.

Or they could just start tomorrow, if someone has a really big rock.

Awww, billytea, thank you!

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

I'm so sorry, Lee.

Got an e-mail from a different lab head showing interest in my cv. (Of course, this was after the e-mail from my boss telling me to do experiments that will take at least a few weeks to do. Like I said yesterday, I have no idea when I'd be able to start in a new lab.)

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

A friend of mine has a friend who just had a baby. The baby's name is Chaim. His full name is Chaim Feivel.

His nickname shall be Chai Five.
