Angel: Yeah, I never told anyone about this, but I-I liked your poems. Spike: You like Barry Manilow.

Anytime health insurance comes up on this board, I realize why I can never quit my job.

I have made job decisions based on health insurance.

Because books.

I'm thrilled to have insurance again, but it's hard -- paying about $500 for the family also coincides with S.'s draw on commission period being over, which means a double hit.

I'm so sorry, Perkins. I know you're going to miss Perkins the cat. He was very well loved.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

aurelia, we'll take the discussion of dinner on the 23rd to email. As of now, I'm still in.

Cool.

I was going to answer that for you, but then it seemed weird! I don't KNOW you are not an actor, I just assumed you were not because you are a lighting designer.

I know many former actors in many areas of theatre, but no lighting designers. I suspect our percentage is much lower than other design areas.

Always Anti-fascist!

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Perkins, I am so sorry. You gave your Perkins a great life.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Krav maga is an Israeli-developed fighting style centered on the idea that when I put you down, you stay down. It's fast, it's brutal, and I love it. Sort of like club dancing but with more eye gouging and less grinding.

Interesting way to sum it up. Not how I'd have done it (I mean, there's no mention of groin strikes, so it's obviously not ita !'s take on the art. I don't even think of it as centred that way, now that I pause. I think it's centred on the ideas that nothing is sacred, and you get no points for fighting fair.

Is anyone here taking down their websites for SOPA blackout? I just noticed that a blog I read from time to time is doing so. I figure if it's occurring to me at 9AM on the day of, I'm obviously not the most conscientious.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Scrappy, I am so sorry about Layla. I know she'll be missed.

(Beloved pets need to stop getting sick, dammit.)

Anytime health insurance comes up on this board, I realize why I can never quit my job. (I pay nothing for a plan which includes my entire family with no deductible.)

And I now want to work for Jess's company. Even though I have no experience in that industry. I'm a quick learner though.

Jessica - Jan 18, 2012 7:09:02 am PST #16982 of 30001
And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Even though I have no experience in that industry.

You're probably more qualified than I am to work for Top Gear...

I hate my health insurance. But I love my job, and it is insurance, so I'm not fucking with shit.
