Given that the magic drug is pricey, is it worth it to take it next week if she's not up to the right level, or should she rest more and take better care of herself and push chemo back another week--is that bad?
Neulasta is not entirely benign, so she might want try a second week if her white count is going up. I don't know how aggressive her oncologist is. She does need to stay away from sick people.
Thanks for stopping by, Monique, and I hope you're recovering well yourself.
Will ping her too. T promised me some recs.
I haven't been in a while, but inoteca used to be one of my favorites.
Closer to you is Eataly which is worth a trip if you can get away for lunch (or gelato).
Pipa has good tapas, not cheap, but fun.
If you really want to splurge, head for Prune. Or the bar at Grammercy Tavern.
More in Midtown - Nizza, Croton Reservoir Tavern, and Eatery (try the mac & cheese!).
Out in my neck of the woods, Purple Yam is my current favorite restaurant in the city. There is nothing on that menu that is not made from pure unfiltered awesomesauce, but it is about an hour on the subway from your hotel.
You all are making me hungry. I am not in New York. It is not fair.
Prune was a very memorable meal.
Yay job, msbelle!
ita !, much ~ma to your mother.
sarameg, may that scary episode have been a one-off migraine that never happens again.
I can't believe, and yet am not surprised, that CBS is making its own Sherlock Holmes show.

Indeed.
Invoking the FPC: I just took a tea bag from an upper shelf, but it was torn, and I ended up with little bits of decaffeinated tea all over me--and in my eye.
OW.
Aha! Strike against the tea bag technology!
Of course, I would have instead knocked the entire tin on my head--I can't decide if open so messy is worse, or closed so heavy enough to really bruise.
Does that make you feel any better?
No, I thought it might not.
Strike against the tea bag technology!
Hah. I think it's hard to get decaf without bags. So instead I took it as a warning and used some of the ridiculously expensive tea my brother & SIL got me for Christmas.
Ridiculously expensive: $25 for 4 oz. Even if it does say you can re-use the leaves a couple of times, that's just nuts.
