Congrats msbelle!

Fingers crossed that all goes well with your mom's chemo situation, ita.

I got a new mattress pad, sheet set, and dust ruffle to fit it, but think I'd like to get a new cover: [link]

It says burgundy red, but that looks like a bright red on my screen. Anyone? I'm looking for a bright lipstick red.

Maybe these would be helpful, Allyson? [link]

I think I just had a visual migraine or I somehow hyperventilated myself (it hit on the walk home from the pool.) My nurse friend didn't think I was gonna die (she's a CCU nurse who has hauled neighbors to the ER cause symptoms alarm her, so I trust her.) But it was weird. I think I'm going to avoid the sudafed for now. It's been doing weird things to my breathing, so I'm suspicious that it + a sneezing fit may have triggered something. Migraine or hyperventilation. Or both.

I do not like.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

What were your symptoms?

He's right--her circumstances of birth are pretty suspicious.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I honestly don't know how other people get by.

Right??

ita, I'm sorry about the news. I'm lucky enough to be no help at all, but I'm glad you have the hivemind.

msbelle, yay, job!

I think I've decided to join the YMCA near my office. Ridiculously, it's the most expensive gym in the area, but it's the only one within walking distance with a pool. And my health insurance will reimburse me for half of the membership costs.

Weird blind spot in one eye like I'd stared at a light too long, attempt at puking (there was nothing to puke) and then a sharp headache once the blind spot went away.

I thought I'd just stared at a light too long, but when I went to pay some bills online right after getting home, realized I couldn't see the key I was focused on in one eye. Freaked out and had the gagging episode. Called T, she made me run through things, noted I'd struggled in the pool and had a massive sneezefest walking home, made me breath to her count, at which point the blindspot disappeared. Piercing headache hit a little later. So I dunno. It's fading.

And my health insurance will reimburse me for half of the membership costs.

Huh. I should look into that. I LOVE my Y people and pool. My rate is $49/month, but that's individual.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yikes, sara! Fading is good.

Punishingly Intricate

yikes, sara! Glad you have a nurse right nearby.

Congrats, msbelle!!!

Yeah, I was rather flipping out. Proof: I actually called a medical professional!

I've gotten lightheaded before, but usually it is the periphery thing. Not a blank spot. Had it lasted even another minute more while on the phone with T, I would've had someone haul me to Union Memorial down the street. But it went away with the breathing exercise.
