Congratulations, msbelle! That's fantastic!
ita, it's no one's fault. As everyone else has said, low white blood cell count is a common thing with chemo.

Given that the magic drug is pricey, is it worth it to take it next week if she's not up to the right level, or should she rest more and take better care of herself and push chemo back another week--is that bad?
I called her for a second while I should have been working. She says she's mostly ignoring it for today.
I love how we, as a group, know everything. I honestly don't know how other people get by.
Seriously.
Woo, msbelle! That is so fabulous.
No knowledge here but lots of ~ma to your mother, ita !. Also, I enjoyed your priority rankings. Maybe I should employ a similar system.
Menu planning fail - I have everything I need for the yummy eggplant pasta dish I was going to make tonight... except the pasta. Hmm, maybe I'll go ahead and saute the eggplant tonight? That always seems to take longer than I think it will.
Congrats, msbelle!
Timelies all!
Yay msbelle!
So, I sent my cv to the appropriate admin person, who sent it out to various labs, and one of them is interested. I'm meeting with them on Thursday. Of course, I don't know if I'll want the position, and I'm not sure when I'd be available to start(our lab is nowhere near ready to shut down, and we have until at least the end of June to do so), but at least someone's interested.
All good ~ma to your mom, ita.
ETA: Good luck, Sheryl!
MSBELLE that is AWESOME! I am especially happy about the benefits part. Remind me again what this job is and what the commute is, etc?
ita, everyone else has chimed in but I still want to, as well. I hope it's a minor setback only and that your mom will be on the easy side of the hill soon.
'suela, is that contagious??? And I am sorry to hear that you and Sox have similar maladies. I sure hope you didn't trade them off last year at my house.
Allyson, I don't know if that red is your one true red, but it's purty!
Allyson, I love that cover.
WOOHOO MSBELLE!!!
