Yay for interview, msbelle!
'Time Bomb'
Natter 69: Practically names itself.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I'm pretty sure the guards at the pool will ask me where I was today (I cheated on them with the Parkville Y.) Horrid, horrid times. Sigh.
So I went and bought shoes.
Damnit, I forgot to congratulate you, msbelle!
I hate being lied to like I'm stupid.
I have an app I can use to call a cab, and in it you can put a brief note to the taxi driver. So, since I need to be picked up from the ER entrance off a different street than the main entrance (despite them sharing an address), I put that note in. Every time. Nice and brief, indicating it's the ER, and it's off Charles E Young, not the main entrance.
One time in four, the taxi driver goes to the wrong place. I can tell this BECAUSE I HAVE A MAP WITH HIS LOCATION ON IT. Do they believe me when I call in and tell them "I've been getting the automated 'come out to the curb' message, and the cab isn't here, it's waiting at the other entrance."? No, usually not. There are lots of excuses about how he'll be there *soon*, and he's on his way (he's been stationary for the last 5 minutes) and how that other line must be the dispatcher calling me (I have caller ID. I know the automated number, and that's not it).
I'm not that much of an idiot. And when the cab finally came today, I asked him if he'd been to the wrong place, and he said no, he's been driving around the right entrance for 15 minutes. I HAVE A MAP WITH HIM ON IT. I've also been outside the right entrance for half an hour, and he's the second taxi driver they've dispatched this morning, and no, that's not what happened.
At least he had the grace to change the topic stat.
Awesome news, msbelle. All fingers crossed.
Interview~ma, msbelle!
ita !, sounds like the taxi companies haven't caught up with an understanding of your new-fangled technology. Also, I'd almost buy whatever iThingy you're using just for that app.
Best of luck, msbelle! Hope they pass your eagle eye and snap you up posthaste.
So these are the consolation shoes. Boots (30% off listed) [link] but in black and everyday non-house, non-work shoes: [link] for $50.
Both of those are very cute.
I did get an email from Zappo's earlier saying that my information might have been accessed and to change my password, which was a little worrying.
Amy, there was a story on NPR. Zappos is saying that hackers got into the network, but did not access the servers that store credit card info and such.
Oh, good. Thanks, smonster.
