Sooner or later, you're gonna want it. And the second — the second — that happens, you know I'll be there. I'll slip in, have myself a real good day.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Awesome, Zenkitty! That'll be fun.

That clitoris article was interesting. it exPlained some things to me.

Me, too. Like why girth may matter more than length.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Anyone heard anything about Lost Girl?

io9 sez:

Syfy has the debut of a brand new (to Americans) series called Lost Girl at 10 PM, in which "A Sexy Succubus Plays Both Sides." A couple seasons have already aired in Canada. Here's Syfy's description for the show:

Anna Silk (The Ghost Whisperer) stars as seductress Bo, a Succubus (a powerful female entity in folklore) who feeds off sexual energy. Raised by human parents, Bo had no reason to believe she was anything other than the girl next door - until she "drained" her first boyfriend to death. In the premiere episode, Bo discovers she is one of the Fae, creatures of legend who pass as humans while secretly feeding off them. Faced with choosing between an allegiance to the Dark or Light Fae clans, Bo takes the middle path between the human and Fae worlds while embarking on a mission to unlock the secrets of her origin.

Rate My Rat

Neatorama sez:

Hot or not? Cast your vote! A union of subway workers in New York City found an ingenious way of drawing attention to the rat problem that its members have to deal with every day. It’s holding a contest that encourages people to submit photos of rats found in the tunnels and rate them on a scale of one to five.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

but that's barely the tip of the clitoris, really.

This needs to replace the oft-used phrase "tip of the iceberg".

Like why girth may matter more than length.

Indeed.

With my new knowledge of my own interior anatomy, I think it's important that I have some sex to, um, experiment with, ah...I mean mindful experiences of, oh hell I'm just gonna screw a boy in every major city in the UK.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Zen, that's awesome!

Rate My Rat

I think one of those rats is a pet-- it was sitting on someone's lap with grapes, and was supercute.

Tom Scola- holy shit that is expensive.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I have watched "Lost Girl." I watched S1 and am caught up with S2. Here is what I posted elsewhere:

...

I find the series entertaining. There is typically some action and a lot of weird mythos in each episode. Most of which is WAY outside of my previous knowledge or understanding. I know very little about fae/fairies and Northern European mythology (short of the obvious), so I'm neutral on this presentation.

The main problem I have is with character development. The character development (and motivation) is uneven. At times, some of the characters reactions, actions, and interactions strain credulity in ways that aren't fun.

Also, there is a noticeable shift in tone a few episodes in the first season. You can tell even now, that the creators wanted to have a racy tv show, and it is racy for our standards outside of say FX, but Showcase must have asked them to tone it down because there really isn't much of that left in the episodes this season.

It is kind of wild that a show would be this tame in the sexual arena when the lead character is a SUCCUBUS. WTF?

I wonder if SyFy will edit the show? I would be surprised if the episodes from Season 1 air without modification. Not sure if I'm up for watching the show again from the start, but maybe I will.
