Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Bat-fans, have you seen this xkcd?

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I missed you all last night, although I had a blast watching the awards with a friend of mine while she posted away on FB. And then hosted my kids for a sleep over! woot! kid-free morning is a good thing. Too bad my internal clock insisted on waking up at 6 am regardless of my need for MOAR SLEEP.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Home from the vet, where I let her talk me into fancy food, to see if Homer's weight loss is due to a slight food allergy. I'm slightly eye-rolly, and skeptical of my own willingness to keep up with expensive food I can only get at the vet's.

Thrive to spite them

Jesse, Dean has food allergies and I've got him on expensive food - Natural Balance Green Pea and Salmon. His finnicky little system can't handle grains or poultry.

There's a big market now for pet foods for food allergies and other things and many of them can be found at Petco or other chain pet stores. You might want to see if there's anything comparable that might be cheaper.

I spent the summer spending ridiculous amounts of money on cat food trying to figure out if Clio had food allergies. She wouldn't eat any of them on a regular basis, so an elimination diet was impossible. It was such a relief to go back to a different vet who was just like, "If she won't eat it, don't worry. It's more important that they eat something." I was also chagrined that after 6 weeks of eating about 60% of her normal amount of food, Clio weighed the same amount, in grams, since her last visit.

I think that she may actually be allergic to the super cheap, super awesome kitty litter from Costco.

Devi has a touchy stomach and is on some prescription stuff I order online. It does make a difference in her pukiness.

So I picked up my neighbor from the hospital this morning, and he proposed breakfast, so me, with really bad bedhead, was seen out in public. I used to refuse to go out without having done my hair a little bit, at least. Now? Don't care so much. But it was oh so bad, it was comical.

Yeah, he eats fine, as far as I can tell, but has been puking, and he's lost almost a pound each year for the last two. Not that he's at all scrawny.

I'll see how this goes, and what I can do.

It just seems hilarious to feed the cat venison!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Huh. Apparently they didn't get around to mapping the interior structure of the clitoris until fairly recently.

It really is just the tip of the iceberg.
