Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

msbelle report: This morning I loaded up the car for a good will trip (couldn't fit everything in the car, but I confirmed they will take the rest of the electronic stuff, so I will take it tomorrow), loaded the car back up with house stuff, went to the house, got it all unpacked and the furniture planned out, watched the alarm guy try and fail to install the security system (they are coming back next week), and then waiting another 2 hours (I did some garden stuff) for PG&E to show up to turn back on the gas (I CAN HAZ HEAT AND HOT WATER). Home now, and I have unloaded the dishwasher, vacuumed, and am about to eat dinner. After dinner, I am going to pack clothes in suitcases until they are all full, and then call it a day.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Huh. I figured out the buffista because facebook has suggested I friend her, but I was never sure who she was.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

There was a reason I didn't put it in the first post! And wasn't 100% sure she was even from here....

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Thanks, y'all. It's hitting me particularly hard today because I feel like I've put so much into taking this step forward and I've gotten nowhere at all. Argh.

Scrappy, I'm so sorry: I hope the tax thing works out better than you fear, and that Laylah has a peaceful, easy time. You have given her a good life, even if it's shorter than you wish.

Consuela, I hope that while it feels like you've gotten nowhere, you've actually laid a brick in the path you are constructing. It's just not done yet, and that's exhausting.
