Pull out anything that that you do not wear often that is a high-end name brand and either get it to a good consignment store or get it up on ebay.
The other thing to do is flip your hangers the backwards way. Only flip them back when you wear the thing they are holding. After 3 months look at what is still on backwards hooks. take at least half of it to get rid of. 3 more months, take half again. You will see what you wear and what you do not. If you wear formal things even once a year I think you should have 2 formal outfits. If you wear formal more often than that, then keep more.

Man, we're living in the future. I just worked out how to trigger a torrent download on my laptop from my phone or tablet. If I could work out how get this NAS working, I could have those remotely triggered downloads ready to stream to multiple devices in my home. This is so fucking nifty.
