No. You're missing the point. The design of the thing is functional. The plan is not to shoot you. The plan is to get the girl. If there's no girl, then the plan, well, is like the room.

information libertarian

This was our first 5-day week in a long time, and I gotta say, 5 days is just too long for a week.

This weekend we will have Actual Winter Cold (today I think our high was 23!) so we will make beef stew and laze about, probably. We have literally 1/4 inch of tiny snow dust and the children LOVE it. Monday off, we might go the the Underground Railroad Freedom Center for the holiday.

Right now, of course, everyone in my family is watching Finding Bigfoot. It is their current obsession. EVEN MY HUSBAND WITH THE PHD IN SCIENCE!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yes! Luckily, next week is short again.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Zenkitty, I have been told that most in US is made with at least some flour. Especially when Teff prices get so high.

This is the online source I know of. If you have local Ethiopian places you should ask them if there is a local source for Teff only injera. The people we now buy from do make some, but I would have to ask special and I prefer the teff/wheat mix.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

We have arrived home from our week-long motorcycle trip. It was great fun and spending all that time in the desert was really hypnotic. It's so beautiful in its own way.

Still motorcycle travel is really tiring and I am SO glad to be home.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Weekend plans: take down tree (what? don't look at me like that!), sleep over exchange (last time we got the girls, I think this time we'll get the boys), work on conference presentation, stretch class. Hmm, the weekend really should involve cocktails too, shouldn't it?

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I have had to take my phone off the hook so as to stop the CONSTANT interrupting intercom calls my co-worker is making while I attempt to meet the final deadline on a 2-month project.

As I suspected, she doesn't hit me with a question every 3 to 5 minutes if she has to pick her ass up and walk across the building to my workstation.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Man, testing is going hilariously. Nothing inspires confidence like the vendor's developer making changes in prod while he's on the phone with you. Or even just revealing he's forgotten to make changes in prod.

I'm going home.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

One of my co-workers just tried to get sassy. Heteronormatively sassy. Apparently women should be reborn as men so they get to know what being married to a woman is like.

Yeah, he probably thinks I'm gay now.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Local SF con Arisia is this weekend. I'd be there, but between gusting, window-rattling winds and penetrating cold, I'm not up for travelling in and out tonight. Tomorrow I'll make a long day of it.
