Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Speaking of, the Fluffy just started falling on us.

Yep. I'm probably about 25 miles north of you.

Still, radar shows one big blob of storm, so we're probably all going to get equally Fluffied.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

You mean fluffed. Don't you want to mean fluffed?

That crossed my mind. But I'm not sure I want to be fluffed at work.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Depends what your job is, for sure.

Jesse, flaunting her non-profit environment again.

OMG, I wish people would not encourage me to sleep with co-workers. It's just not in my list of acceptable ways for me to interact.

Please don't let me go back on that. Pretty please.

A belated "fuck cancer". Though really: never inappropriate.

I once read a scifi story abut a society in which everyone lived in separate houses and never went out or saw anyone else in person; everything was done over picture phones. This was back in the 80s, I think. I thought, wow, that would never happen!

Asimov did this in the 50s in "Caves of Steel". Great book. Prose was "serviceable". But I'm sure he was not the last. Probably not the first.
