We're still working on a plan, but so far it involves being sent to prison and becoming somebody's bitch.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

It's my first day in two weeks without cold meds. Yay! I celebrated by eating half the chocolates Shir sent me from Israel. So. Frickin'. Good.

I'm also celebrating by getting some thinky stuff done for work, now that I can actually think. And, since it's my work-from-home day, I put the tree into storage, paid my bills, and arranged for voice lessons and some cat vet visits. (The voice lessons are because I'm doing voice overs on some corporate eLearning videos, and I'd like to sound better. The vet stuff is a blood draw and a tooth cleaning visit.) I have energy again! Some of it may be from the espresso-praline cream in the chocolates, but that's ok!

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Perkins, in my head work is right between old house and new house, is that correct?

New house is between work and the apartment, actually. I've been stopping off there most days on the way home to pick up mail and drop stuff off and sometimes do things. I wasn't planning on it today, so I don't have much stuff with me, but now I need to.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Can I get a rousing round of "fuck cancer"? The week kicked off with a friend's funeral on Monday (44! Too young!), and then got word this morning that my aunt Debby died last night (69! Still too damned young!!).

I'm just flattened, and also feeling very ungraciously like two funerals in a week is a little more than I have emotional reserves for.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

so my suggestion/order would be to put like a hamper full of clothes in the car each day and dump in at the house either on the way to or from work. also armfuls of stuff on hangers straight to car, then straight to new closet. If that is too easy, then fill ups reusable grocery bag with pantry food each each day too.

Burrell, I'm right there with you. I feel wonderfully accomplished when I do as much as msbelle has done, in a day.

Today I have...showered. Read the internet. Done my timesheet (which was two days overdue). Tried to do one expense report, failed because they changed the system, emailed boss about it. Talked to one person on the phone, fobbed her problem off to someone else.

What do I NEED to do? Several letters, four reports, preparation for tomorrow's travels, and a few various other things. Plus writing up the notes for the last meeting of my conference board, scheduling the next meeting, and dealing with our webhosting so we don't have the site go down.

Oh, amych, I'm sorry. Fuck cancer indeed.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

amych,

I think two funerals in a MONTH can fuck with emotional reserves. I'm sorry. A lot of 'ma your way.

Art Crawl!!!

Cancer sucks, amych. Sorry. :( Two of the locations I go to are for a cancer study in terminal patients--they're taking this new unapproved drug because nothing else has worked and they might as well. It's very depressing.

Perkins, does that mean the house is more convenient to work? That's a big yay!

My BFF and her gf put an offer on a house yesterday, so I am crossing my fingers for them.

Have you see this product? It turns a canning jar into a useful beverage cup/travel jar.
