not your mom's socks.

JenP, don't forget to take your SSN card and a power bill or something like it to prove your address. There's a whole list of things, somewhere. PA registration is ... about as logical as its beverage sales.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

oh hell, I did not do any of the house things I could do or even want to do. I did none of the cleaning things.

These were the need to do today things:

1 send resumes to recruiters friend contacted on my behalf
2 update Linked-In, Monster, & Careerbuilder
3 apply to 2 jobs sent to me by family & friends this week
4 call psychiatrists on insurance to get appt
5 gather paperwork for mac's leg brace stuff

Then I felt bad and had a late start and mom came over with the want-ads with things highlighted and I added

6 apply for jobs mom highlighted

to the list

Then stuff took longer that I wanted and then recruiters responded so the following got added

7 fill out placement firms online application
8 send recruiter resume in doc formate with additional info
9 get reference list updated and ready for tomorrow
10 take MS Word and Excel skills test
11 print out updated resume
12 find second form of ID for interview
13 iron suit for interview

So I did 1 and 2/3 of 2, then added a 2.5 which was apply to 2 jobs on Monster. Then skipped to 7 & 8 & 13. Am doing 9 right now. Want to take a review for 10 since I have been in a mac office for the last 6 months. Then I will do 12. 11 I will do in the morning.

3-6 get pushed to tomorrow's list, which is already screwed up because now there is a 2 hour long interview plus commute in there.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

"I'm not a criminal! I'm a comedian!"

Not mutually exclusive, dude. Also creepy. A trifecta of "c" words, really.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Good luck tomorrow, msbelle! Keep on keeping on.

Sox - thanks, and yes, I saw that -- anymore, when I go to the DMV, I print out a copy of requirements from the website, check off what I've got against what they require, and take it with me! Honestly, Maryland DMV foiled me, because I had a copy of my lease, not an original, so I had to leave with no love that day. I was like, "Really???" Argh. But it's not like you can win an argument there, so... off I went.

Kick ass, tomorrow, msbelle!!!

Punishingly Intricate

Ha! I was going to say JenP has dealt with MD DMV so PA should be a breeze comparatively. It took Bob at least 4 trips to get his license here. Literally. Thank goodness there is a DMV close by at least. Good luck with all the TCBing car stuff, Jen! That stuff can be completely scary and overwhelming. Not dealing adequately with car stuff landed my friend in Bmore Central Booking for a day last year (although, really, there was some administrative fuck ups on the state's part). On the plus side, her day in Central Booking has produced hours and hours and hours of hilarity in the retelling. But was scary and a huge hassle in real time.

Kick ass, tomorrow, msbelle!!!

Indeed!

I had no problems with the MD DMV, despite being warned. AND I was about 6 months late in transferring my license and registration (bonus NM license, NC registration.)

Only problem was I turned the wrong way on Druid when trying to leave and got lost (I did not know that part of town then) and ended up taking an hour trying to get back to work by spotting the JHU astronomy observatory.

Dumb luck, I guess.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Perkins, I am always up for being bossy.

And you do it so nicely!

I didn't get a lot of the work stuff done that I could/should have, so I told myself I would do a lot when I got home, and then I got home and realized that I'm not sure Perkins the cat is going to make it to the new house, and that I had vomit to clean up before I started to pack.

eta: Can I just eat ice cream and watch leverage instead?

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

I didn't apply for my TN license until this past October. I have now lived in TN for 2.5 years. Oops?

Discovery of the day: The community center on my way home from work, a mile from our house, has an indoor track that anyone can use for free! So I walked two miles this evening and it felt great. I'm trying to do a lot of walking these days, but it's been tricky because our neighborhood is not perhaps super safe after dark, so I haven't been going out much at night. But now I can walk at the community center instead! Very exciting.
