They're just starting production this month So, maybe next fall?
Fooey!
Though if it comes back along with the arrival of Legend of Korra, that'll be cool. Plus Emmett and I have a big slate of summer movies to consume.

I am excited for Mad Men to come back for a slightly unorthodox reason. The lady who runs the vintage store where I've been apprenticing claims that business picks up when Mad Men is on the air, and I'm really curious about whether that's actually true.

So, some of my knitting group folks had been to Mitsuya (which they insist on mispronouncing by not enunciating the y) - and provided us with good and unusual Japanese treats.
My favorite arare - you know the nori wrapped ones (this sort) - were delicious.
And they had blueberry filled and sesame filled marshmallows. The blueberry ones were delicious. The sesame ones were interesting. I'd never had a savory marshmallow before. But - if you find blueberry (preserves) filled marshmallows - nab them. One of the knitters described then as being like gummy bears - and I said only softer and less chewy. This is totally the ones we had.
Supernatural's back. I can get through the lean times (defined as "until Community gets back"), but the return of shows like White Collar sure will help.
Our company just bought another subsidiary. Given the amount of "opportunities" we have integrating the three we have so far, IT-wise, this is going to be fun. In the *not* sense of the word. Power to us for expanding, though!
I have already bitched about my family's companies. Academi? Seriously? And the politician cousin got dinged for a stupid racist tweet. Why don't people know better? Jeez.

That's definitely a factor, but she claims it's also because people want to wear vintage more when they see it on TV regularly.
That's possible. I do want to eat and drink when I see TV characters eat and drink.
My mom has stopped by unannounced twice in the last 3 days. One time I was just getting out of the shower and dressed at like 11am, today I was still in my pjs watching tv at 10 something. I know part of it is to bring stuff over, but part of it, I think, is to make sure I am not a complete depressed disaster zone and/or to shame me into getting going. JUST CALL FIRST! It will have the same effect and I can look not so ggllllgh.
I mean, today I don't feel great, so without a job to go to or any other commitments, I was chillin through the morning, but I swear I will not do that everyday. I SWEAR.
Now I am all paranoid and showered and cleaned a workspace and am writing down my day as it goes and am updating resumes on LinkedIN (except it won;t let me) and Monster and Careerbuilder and I am going to get 4-5 resumes out before I take another entertainment break. STG
Hate all of this. Hate. But it is motivating, so I guess she is being effective.
Franny is slated to be tested later this year and we haven't done any prep. Maybe that's a mistake? I don't know. I mean, I want her to test as gifted, but even more important to me is that, if she doesn't test as gifted, I don't want her to feel like she's a failure or she's not smart.
I'm trying not to frame it as a test for D, if that makes sense. What I'm hoping to achieve with the workbooks is to make sure he's familiar enough with the format that the test can actually reflect his ability to solve the problems. (And if he's not eligible for G&T, that's obviously fine. But I don't want him ineligible just because he's never seen a multiple choice test before.)
And yet, also unsurprising. I would be beyond livid if I were unable to see my kid in the intensive care unit because of Beyonce!
I'd have been on the phone to the police over that. And whoever made the decision would either be up on charges or, failing that, the beneficiary of my new hobby of spending a few dozen hours a week complaining to the AHA, JCAHO, hospital board, and any news agency that would listen in the hopes of getting them shitcanned.
