I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I really like coconut milk and sweet potatoes together. And apples sound like a good option.

I have marked that recipe because it sounds amazing. Yum.

Because books.

On a non-packing note, remember these: [link]

I have that very one on my dresser mirror.

I went out and was social tonight, twice! I went to another local YA author/potential friend's book launch, which must have been attended by roughly 200 people, got super depressed, and then went BACK out to the after party to talk to other writer types, and have a beer. I'm glad I did.

I also learned probably sixty or more of the people at the launch were family, so I feel a little better about that. Plus, she wrote an awesome book, and deserves all her success. It's called Cracked/

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That is the brilliant thing about exchanges: you get rid of crap and someone gets something awesome. Doesn't really matter that it's the same item.

Truth. There was some real crap floating around as well, but on the whole a lot of pleasantly surprised people, I think.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Martin Freeman just swore at Graham Norton. It was delightful. "Fuck you...I won a BAFTA." He's so dry. And I love his hairstyle. He's got sideburns right down to the bottom of his jaw, plus the hair is gelled in sort of a singery sort of way. Adorbs.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I had a tasty drink and a nice glass of wine (and dinner) and a shmooze with my friend E, who is going to a conference tomorrow where she will be wined and dined by vendors for most of the week. I'm a bit jealous, since I get to spend the next week with three hairy dogs who won't let me sleep later than 6:30 AM.

The puppy has figured out that when I call her she ends up in the crate, so now she won't come when I call. Sneakky little thing.

I am watching Werner Herzog's documentary about prehistoric cave art on Netflix streaming. Pretty cool.

She comes when you feed her, doesn't she?
