The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

With tasty adult beverages. This is key.

It is so key that I figured it didn't need to be said.

You will sell tickets, or film it, or both, right?

Heh. Yes.

I don't have a dedicated e-reader, but I love the Kindle app on my iPhone and iPad. However, I wont buy books I haven't read before. I like having digital copies of my favorites. I think the last ebook I bought was The Night Circus.

brillig

It's so beyond any reasonable kind of interest anyone should have in their neighbors

The owner's brother lives a block away, and he's pissed that his brother isn't letting him live there--rent-free naturally (we pay rent)--so he bitches at church, which pulls in the "we have non-members living next to us, this is distressing to us" crowd. Fortunately, the brother has so far believed our friend, when he was told that brother does not have the right to just walk into his brother's property--something even the most dreadful neighbor agrees on. Because Brother was that if we find him the house, something bloody and final could happen to him. This is Utah, shooting an intruder is something several people I know look forward to.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Unrelatedly, I like wearing petticoats. I like having a fluffy skirt at work. It's a perk when I hit the wall.

Okay, home.

Yay! Well, not yay hitting a wall, but fluffy skirts, yay!

Because books.

Playing board games with Pete (or even watching him play) is AWESOME.

@SteveCarell: I guess Russell Brand finally heard a Katy Perry song.

Hey now! I am not a spectator sport!

(I swear the people around my cube must *hate* me. I talk so loudly on the phone, and two calls out of every three devolve into some sort of bullshitting or fake arguing)

(I just spoilt a guy for the end of this season of Dexter, he threatened to stab me, and I told him if he sought any sort of reciprocal revenge, I would cut him. Please let no one listening be paying any aggregate attention. Please let him also not get knifed to death anytime soon.)

(I didn't spoil him on purpose!)

((Why am I still at work? Seriously leaving now))

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Heh, that's awesome, ita !, but yeah, totally go home.

In news that I swear is completely unrelated to the bloodletting conversation, I have so completely drunk the koolaid on my new bow. It's a Mathews Mission Craze. It's kinda ridiculous how much I love it.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I think I like the Kindle because it forces me to keep going. I am a big-time skipper. I usually read the beginning, then the end, and then decide if I will finish. Then, if I like it, I read it again. The kindle pretty much forces me to go page by page.

You are such a writer's nightmare. I'm tempted to write a novel just to make the middle incredibly fucked up and have a deceptive ending.

There's a part of me that wants to watch ita and Pete play board games, but only if I'm not participating and am at a minimum safe distance.

Hey now! I am not a spectator sport!

ita, Polgara, Allyson and, I believe, Kat. Scrabble. There was a gun in the house. Some of us were a bit worried.

Just had to come home early from wine night with neighbors. I think my friend wins for the BEST vacation story ever. Let's just leave it as she crossed several things off her list she didn't even know were on it. And several people. At least she got the full story out before my cough kicked in.

Loki wants Devi's spot. He's not being subtle. She's being stubborn.
