Oh, ita, my condolences to her. That happened to my family with my mom's dad while we were visiting dad's. One minute you are dithering to try to get there fast, the next...slow spin to figure out what now.

toe socks: one of my friends gave me some for Christmas. (They have cranes on them.) And they are excellent for wearing with zori. . . although toe mittens might work better for me than toe gloves.
