I'm just, uh, just feeling kinda... truthsome right now. And, uh... life's just too damn short for ifs and maybes.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

In any event, I hope the day gets better.

Well, rather than dumping gasoline on my desk and screaming "BURN, BABY, BURN!" I took a deep breath and asked coworkers for input.

Man, sometimes being an adult is no fun.

Punishingly Intricate

I need more sock layers! I have four shirt, sweater, sweatshirt layers. Maybe I should put on a hat? (Note, this is for inside my house and I have the heat up to a reasonable level.)

I am not sure why this hit my funny bone, but it sure did.

The last panel made me laugh out loud. I would find it hilarious to actually hear that, but I think my pilot would probably get fired for it. Or at least suspended. Heavily.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

It was not a good picture of Tony Blair.

I feel like I did much better than I should have.

On the other hand, there were a number of people who I recognized by their mouths alone (before scrolling up to see the whole face)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I avoid the news, but if you haven't ever seen a picture of Tony Blair that's way more insulation than I could ever manage. It took me a while to remember his name, because I worked my way to job and nationality first.

A face completely out of context is hard to recognize - hair being context, apparently

Not if you're neurotypical, is the assertion. Though, as noted, 85% is the mean.

I still feel like I'm crap at that, but no one looked less like them to me because they were missing hair and ears. I'd have taken just as long to come up with the right name if they'd been coiffed traditionally.

My sister is in the 120% range, if it were possible. She's the one who remembered she'd seen Wesley Snipes in a Michael Jackson video before he became famous. I don't file random faces like that unless they're *way* more striking and appear a couple places first.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I missed one. Who the hell remembers what Tony Blair looks like?

Because books.

God, I feel so much better a lot of us missed Tony Blair. I always feel behind the curve on politics, although I was at least relieved he wasn't an American politician.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I still feel like I'm crap at that, but no one looked less like them to me because they were missing hair and ears. I'd have taken just as long to come up with the right name if they'd been coiffed traditionally.

Yeah, I thought it would be more challenging, but, no, they basically looked like themselves. I thought I was average, but I guess I'm above average?

I missed one. Who the hell remembers what Tony Blair looks like?

Brits?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

THANK YOU, Jesse. It was making me nuts! And I just went and Google imaged the person in question, and, yeah, that has to be a very, very old picture.

A lot of the pictures were old, it seemed to me -- I wonder if there were rights issues involved?
