I did okay but I'm good with faces after I've seen them lots. I'm bad at recognizing someone I met once or someone I was introduced to the day before.
For example, yesterday and today, I totally didn't recongize 2 memorable customers who had come in. One lady bought 4 carts worth of stuff and I'd waited on her before that, but I still didn't realize it was the same woman.
I am sitting here in tears over this Oatmeal entry regarding airplane travel. I am not sure why this hit my funny bone, but it sure did.
I am not having the best day at work? I'm a frustration stew.
I didn't get Blair either. The other I got wrong? I identified Oprah as Lauryn Hill . They used a much younger picture of who it was, I think, but I'm still a little embarassed by that.
I didn't recognize Blair, (spoilerfonting just in case) Condoleeza Rice (I thought it might be her, then I got thrown by how bad her teeth looked and scolded myself for thinking that Ms. Rice might have such unphotogenic teeth--and then it turned out to be her, teeth and all) , Patrick Stewart, and, I think, one other person in the same category as Blair: know the name, know the person's importance in the world, have read plenty of words about but never paid attention to a single picture of the person. Eliminating those two, I got 90%. Which is embarrassingly higher than my real-life recognition abilities.
That was definitely a terrible and old picture of Condi. The teeth!
Right, so. I'm going to burn the world down.

THANK YOU, Jesse. It was making me nuts! And I just went and Google imaged the person in question, and, yeah, that has to be a very, very old picture.
Man, I keep remembering People I didn't get: Stewart and Keanu.
So sad.
But I did get Rice and Oprah.
I felt stupid for not getting Princess Diana, but I also did not know Tony Blair and don't think I've ever seen a picture of him before. I missed one other person, but I forget who.
