I like books. I just don't want to take on too much. Do they have an introduction to the modern blurb?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I bought the DVD to get free shipping on my Secret Santa purchase. BOOYAH.

It was my first Blu Ray purchase. But I'm still enslaved by the principle that stumbling on someone else's airing of it trumps you playing it yourself.

I think I like it more every time I see it. Now I'm loving the hot, lazy camerawork. The improbably assembled deliciousness. The greatness of the sequence that runs from Clay/Aisha's hookup scene through Jensen escaping the office building. I could watch that bit over and over the most times.

I bet sarameg is laughing ruefully too.

Yes, yes she is. I'm hoping that the current crew has nice, boring vet visits for a while. Devi is working on 15 (!!!!) this year, so she's eyeing my bank account hungrily. I'm just hoping her bitchiness enables her to live a good long while. She doesn't look, act, or medically resemble her age. And I've had her all but the first 4 months of her life. Only one bad scare.

Yeah, so not ready to deal with that.

Punishingly Intricate

We have an informal dead cat(s) clause but then we were hanging out with my cousin's awesome beagle/pug mix on Saturday and now I'm looking at that combo on petfinder. I don't think we are really ready to commit though.

I have felt like I'm getting a cold all day. bleh. I had a delicious hot toddy though. Still feel sickish but I don't care as much.

And despite feeling crappy I came home and made chocolate chip cookies!

I spent a minute trying to figure out what the hell you were drinking that was making your hair frizzy.

Ha!

And I am working on getting up earlier and having productive morning time before work this year, so I guess I should go to bed. Oh, night owl ways, I do love you, though.

(Edited to clarify the "Ha!")

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Yep, that is barring emergencies. I saw those numbers and said in my head, "no way, mine are way cheaper" well... no. Just back to June is $500 and the flight here was more than $100 for them, so I would bet close to $1200 for them each year. Now granted, they are on vet food, but also factor in that I do not buy them toys or treats. So yeah, $1200, more than double what I spent on clothing for both mac and me this past year.

My niece-in-law's mother has puggles. To say that she adores them beyond all reason is understating. And they totally merit the devotion, the cuties.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Have y'all ever heard of the dance style "waacking" (or "punking")?

The Troubletones were doing that at Sectionals on a recent episode of Glee.

I just figured out how to angle a balance transfer so it will save me about $400 in interest over the next year.

Because books.

the sequence that runs from Clay/Aisha's hookup scene through Jensen escaping the office building

Much as I love Clay/Aisha, Jensen in that office building is one of my favorite things ever, anywhere.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Paul, Perry and Santorum are all at 23% with 34% of the caucuses reporting.

Perry or Romney? If Romney's trailing, that'd be pretty big news.
