We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I don't think I'm going to make it to NY.

I spent the evening watching episodes of Community and finishing off a bottle of TJ's Zinfandel.

BTW, a recent article did a taste-test of TJs & Yellowtail wines. They determined that the TJs Pinot Grigio and Nouveau are far more drinkable than their prices would indicate.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I'm with ya, Connie. Why do you think that I went on tilt when I found out that TJ's in CT doesn't sell wine? (although a 45 min drive to Framingham, MA takes care of it)

Happy New Year everyone!

I witnessed a miracle tonight: my parents, who regard spaghetti as an exotic foreign food, really enjoyed their dinner at a local fairly authentic Mexican grill which was our only viable dining option not involving an hour+ wait or ordering through a clown's nose.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

My tastes in wine are not very sophisticated. I've been drinking Yellowtail reds for four or five years--I like them as well as some more expensive labels. I find I do like Australian wines, a lot.

Happy New Year, everybody!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I am greeting the New Year daylight-style with a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich. Start as you mean to go on, right??

Our wings are not tired.

Sounds like a plan to me. My BFF was just complaining yesterday that after a full year of being vegan her cholesterol is 271 - the exact number that it was a year ago. I may recommend trying bacon egg & cheese. I managed to bring mine down 100 points by adding good stuff, but I don't want to live in a world with no cheese.

So much body stuff is just internal, I think -- my cholesterol and etc. are all good, and I don't do shit about it.

Yeah. Except for Too Much Salt my normal taste in food is a dietician's dream: sparing use of olive oil and margarine in place of butter, lots of grains, brocolli, and leafy vegetables, fruit and yogurt rather than cookies/cakes, not going overboard on the fatty meats except the good kinds like salmon. Despite that, my cholesterol is pretty damn high without medication.
