Yeah, she still leaves an icky film in my mouth. I just can't handle the concentrated twee.
There are times that I fear I come off like ZD.
sarameg, I'm very glad she has you and your family.

Congrats, Gris!
Oh, Gris... you ARE going to get him a Hobbes, aren't you?
You have to.
Yay Gris, baby-owner! :)
Sad Sara's SIL, tough family. Yay for her having yours now?
I constructed a new bookcase that I ordered from Target (and was delivered yesterday), so now I have a handsome bookcase next to the fireplace/TV, and can have BOTH TiVos! And my VCR. Because I still have one. Though I should really get the one or two tapes that aren't replaceable onto DVD.
ita, I can't imagine travelling with all that.
I have no idea what temp I keep my house--fairly warm, because it's radiant heat, so even though I don't turn the temp up, it stays warm (it's also well insulated). But in my big bedroom, it can get chilly, so I do sometimes turn it on. I keep it off in the downstairs, but in the basement, even though it's off, since the heat runs through the floor, it's stifling!
My parents have wholeheartedly adopted her. But they are older than hers by almost 30 years. And that makes me sad cause there just won't be enough time for any of us. And the kids are only going have good memories of their paternal grandparents. My parents better fucking live forever.
Awww, baby!
I think I am going to hang some of the heavier blankets over windows to see if I can keep the warmth in a bit better, also tomorrow = sweater. It's not cold out really, but the house is chilly. It is sheltered so well from the sun through the summer that it never gets warmed by the sun in the winter.
Maybe a swimsuit! Who knows!
Okay, you're from a warm locale. I don't even understand you. We left the beach in Jamaica because it got cold, and that was when it got close to 82 or so.

You haven't yet, where I've seen you. And outside of her characters, she hasn't not, pretty much. FWIW.
Gris, congrats!!!
My building has a heat timer connected to a thermostat in the basement, so temperature is always a little wonky. We have to keep it much warmer than I'm comfortable with because there are so many senior citizens in the building. (I guess technically we don't *have* to, but I could very easily see the board being voted out if the building was too cold!)
My house goes as high as 63 when I'm home, down into the 50s at night or when I'm at work. I don't mind it a little cool if I can bundle under blankets or wear wool socks.
sarameg, I'm so sorry for your SIL that she has asshats for parents, and I'm so glad she has your family to help her out.
I did an odious task today -- made an appointment with a geriatric care provider to talk about my parents. The really odious bit will be telling my mother about the appointment. And of course my sister will be in Europe so I get to carry this one on my own. Joy.
Woops-- congratulations, Gris! Welcome to the world, little Buffista-sprog!
