Zoe: What's that, sir? Mal: Freedom, is what. Zoe: No, I meant what's that? Mal: Oh. Yeah. Just step around it. I think something must've been living in here.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Hooray the house of Perkins!

Nora, as much as I love that place, even if I had enough saved up for a downpayment (what with needing 20% these days, that's not happening any time soon), things are just to uncertain at my company (and the industry I'm in, in general) for a big-time investment like that, dammit.

I hope you get a bite on the place soon.

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Congrats, Perkins!

Our house isn't too grody these days, and we're not expecting company any time soon, but I'm still itching to spend this upcoming weekend (four-day weekend! with no plans and nowhere to go! woo!) cleaning and rearranging and decluttering and sorting like mad. Christmas does often have this effect on me, what with (a) coming home from being out of town, and (b) having to figure out where the new stuff is going to go, though I guess this year there's a little more of the nesting instinct going on, too.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Sometimes the federal government is a lot like middle school; we're watching a movie today. Your tax dollars at work!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ooh, I could do that. I was literally just thinking that I think I've done all of the work-related stuff I'm going to this week, and I have at least one more work day to go (depending on when we get out tomorrow). But I could totally watch TV for work.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Congratulations, Perkins!
