I walk. I talk. I shop, I sneeze. I'm gonna be a fireman when the floods roll back. There's trees in the desert since you moved out. And I don't sleep on a bed of bones.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Bifocals and progressive are cheaper than separate pairs

Normally yeah, but I have good enough coverage that I could get glasses this year and a new pair of lenses next year, so I could turn an old pair of glasses into my reading glasses. That would save about $100 on the fancy pants progressive lenses. Which is probably what I am going to do, if only because I haven't heard strong enough praise for the progressives to justify the added cost. But it's hard to decide.

Thanks everybody for such helpful input!

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Also, I was never baptized, so I am not sure how I have a godmother.

I'm certain that Princess Tickybox wasn't baptized, and my religious beliefs can be labeled "Other", but I am her godmother. I'm also her fairy gothmother, but in my head, that is different than godmothering.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I am glad your mother is home and in good spirits, jenP!

I have a weird mother story- apparently my mother goes through the holiday wrapping trash, takes off the tags, and shreds them because she "doesn't want anything with her handwriting on it" in the garbage. I am talking tags that say "To: Sophia From:Mother."

Congrats, P-C -- those are excellent remarks.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Way to go, P.-C.! Excellent feedback.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Hahaha! Oh, mothers.

I'm glad yours is home, too, Jen!

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Sophia,

I think you and I might be cousins because our mothers are clearly related. both my parents love shredding - and shred things that surprise me.

I'm in the "life is too short" category.

Thanks, y'all!

I'm about to make cheddar/sausage pastry balls with the leftover sausage from the lasagna that my sister is making, because it was bothersome to her that there would be leftover sausage. Voila, problem solved!

We just played on their new... thing that reads your body as you dance along to the video on the screen. First one I only got two stars, but then I got three, woo! The goal is four, of course. Fun!! My niece and I kept bashing our flailing arms into each other. It was funny.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l
