It's good to have cargo. Makes us a target for every other scavenger out there, though, but sometimes that's fun too.

I called and cancelled taking the friends' kids out today. They were still not ready to go, and this is too late on Christmas Eve to be heading out. I will take them on the 26th to get their mom some after Christmas presents. ANd I think I will tell them a specific time to be ready.

now, football, chips and guac.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

My worries about a rotisserie chicken being enough to feed 3 for Christmas dinner have been laid to rest in the process of carving Chickenzilla. This thing had almost half as much breast meat as the turkeys I've bought for Thanksgiving before (counterbalanced by proportionately little thighs that look like white meat - was it a lap pet that never had to walk anywhere, like one of Paris Hilton's dogs?)

I swear it must have looked like Foghorn Leghorn when it was alive.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

was it a lap pet that never had to walk anywhere, like one of Paris Hilton's dogs?)

Er, most factory farmed chickens are not raised in conditions conducive to walking, but I'm not sure "lap pet" is the term I'd use to describe them.

I thought they were at least kept in pens/cages big eough to mill around in - I know I've seen some horrible jobs special where a guy was scooping out the compartment underneath one with a bulldozer.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Loving reading the drama bits. We've been drama-free so far, and will likely continue to be. Except for sick kitty drama. That's a given.

Hivemind!!! I need help. With nail polish. I've been drooling over the Muppets OPI collection but was trying to be responsible and not buy until I could afford. I didn't realize how fast they'd disappear, and now Rainbow Connection is going for $20 online. All the others I want I can find. If you happen to be out and about, I'd much appreciate taking a gander at Ulta or whatever to see if they have it. Will pay purchase and shipping, of course.

not your mom's socks.

I hope your mom's health improves JenP.

Amy, I hear you. I slept most of yesterday so I could make it out to a party last night (priorities!). Today, knock wood, the drugs are doing good things, but the antihistamine makes me loopy. So frustrating. I hope you feel better soon.

Thx, Sox.

Heart, chest, blood tests all negative. IV antibiotics for a couple days to knock out infection. Christmas morning at 6a at my siste's house (their traditional start time, the nut jobs), and then we'll all bop over to the hospital for Christmas with Oma. All things considered, it's a decent outcome. Timing is crap for her especially, but at least we're all up here over the next few days.

Don't know whether I'll do the late service tonight.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Quilted Northern in the purple packaging.

Oh, phoo. That's Koch Brothers toilet paper.

All good thoughts to you and your mom, Jen. Wishing you both hot young doctors and a quick escape.
