Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Good stuff!

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Burn, Witch Burn which is just recently available on DVD for the first time and a very good adaptation of Fritz Leiber's Conjure Wife.

I saw this years ago on late night TV. Glad to hear it's available on DVD - I will need to investigate it (Note: it's known as "Night of the Eagle" in the UK)

Wyngarde was also, of course, in The Innocents as the evil Peter Quint and had a couple of famous turns on The Avengers in the Hellfire Club and also the Hollywood spoofy Epic.

He was also one of the Number Twos on The Prisoner, and was in Flash Gordon as well (in a mask).

And as memorable was Wyngarde was in that Avengers (along with his whip), I think it was Emma's "queen of sin" costume (which she designed herself) that was by far the most memorable thing in the episode. Additional trivia note: Carol Cleveland appeared in that episode as well.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Is there a way to attach lights to the ceiling and walls without punching holes in either?

I use thumbtacks. Holes, yes, but teeny ones.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

3M to the rescue:

I felt sure someone here would have the answer!

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I've been cross-stitching ornaments for gifts this year. Today, I was able to give ornaments and cards to three of my closest co-workers and my boss, and they were all wonderfully appreciative of the gifts. The admin even cried she was so touched!

I just have to make three more this weekend and then I'll be done with the ones I'm giving away. I just have to make about five more for myself, but I'll do those in January.

I'm starting to burn out on cross-stitching--I've been going almost non-stop with various projects since May, I think. I'm so far behind on my reading, and my dvr is full to the brim (I don't like to watch something that requires I actually see it while I stitch, so I normally just put on news shows or procedurals I've seen before), that I think I'll be taking a break from stitching for a month or two.

I think I'm going to destroy the world today. I hope nobody's using it.

I do hope I caught you before you destroyed anything irreplaceable, Hubby and I have to do our annual "We don't really need anything, we just like the chaos" trip to the mall this Saturday.
