I wouldn't buy a "live in concert" music album anyway, but partly that's because most of the music I like is heavily processed.
Heh, fair enough! I wouldn't either, but I also don't go to concerts... for me it's all "I think this is a thing some people do, right?" Anyway, what I can dig up online makes it look like seats were in the $35-60 range.
I did see Patton Oswalt at Lisner, and that was recorded for My Weakness is Strong. That was the same thing -- not everything in the show made it through editing, and we had a good time at the show, so it's all good.
My daughter loves that store
I still haven't purchased anything, but I did look at the Justice site. I think I"m going to move away from straight peace signs and just try to find something I like.
I think I have some sterling silver peace sign earrings. If I still have them I should take them to a gold/silver buying place.
Stephanie, girls that age (in my experience) also love journals and scrapbooks, kits to make jewelry, OR you could get her a tie-dying kit. Look at Michael's or online.
Drove CJ over to spend the night at his BFF's place. On the way over I once again was thankful I live in an apartment community that does all the plowing and next to a main street which is also promptly plowed. The roads into the neighborhood were icy and still had lots of snow. Had to drive very carefully.
Oh, and another storm is due in tomorrow night. Expected snowfall is another 6 - 12 inches. I may not get snow on Christmas, but it should be pretty white outside.
Stephanie - another suggestion is a gift cert to Arts on Fire or whatever local ceramic painting place is near them. She can paint her own peace sign.
I finally found some cute stuff on the Justice site. Earlier, I searched under "Peace" and found almost nothing. But when I went back just now to look at their regular stuff, it was all peace signs everywhere. Obviously, the search function is not the greatest.
And now, I think I'm done. All the nieces, nephews, and cousins are covered. We adults decided not to buy each other presents this time around, and I'm fine with that. The lack of pressure is a huge gift in itself.
I know Michael's has tie dye kits and stuff for "regular" use as well as kits geared towards girls that age.
I can't remember the price difference off the top of my head but I think Tulip makes some kits and there's something called Funky Groovy Tie dye kit.
Michael's also has t shirts on sale right now (super cheap, some are $2.50) and a 50% off coupon regular price item on the website if you print that out.
You can also call ahead to Michael's and see if they have stuff in stock.
Tie dye is fashionable again. Peace signs. Can the Peter Max prints be far behind? I can only hope.
re: Louis CK concert.
So, I thought the concert was kind of funny, but his last Comedy Central special was much funnier, IMO.
It was worth $5 though, so I am not complaining.
Apparently he spliced material from 2 different concerts into that online special.
