Last night I was following up Super Productive Workday with several hours of intense focus on finishing a computer illustration at home.

Oh, Nilly, I'm so sorry about your father-in-law. And good luck to your father....
I am exhausted after being out too late last night at choir and then not sleeping well at all. Bleh.
My sinuses are throbbing ominously, and I didn't use my neti pot this morning because the brain-eating amoeba story freaked me out and I didn't have time to boil the water to use in the neti pot. (Yes, I'm one of those slackers who just uses tap water.) I'm hoping Good Sudafed will hold it off until I get home and can boil some water to pour through my nose.
msbelle, that truly sucks. I am so so sorry. I also wish I was part of the 1% and could make Buffista Island a reality.
{{Nilly}} All kinds of ~ma to you, your DH and his family, as well as your dad.
Buffista Island would be awesome.
Lots of ~ma to you Nilly, your DH and his family, and your dad.

Bzuh? I just got one of those for my birthday! Haven't even used it yet...
And I suspect that the wines I drink it won't make much difference--I'll use it for my $7 Tuesday night bottle from TJ's, not a $30 Pinot Noir.
I'm here, msbelle! And I will follow up on your email--things have been ultra crazy these past few days, but are finally looking up.
But, I'm sorry to hear about your job! That so sucks, especially because you're super-cool and totally employable. Don't let the mind-worms that eat away at your confidence get to you.
And all of yesterday's talk of Victorian clothes made me think of the scene in Louisa May Alcott's Eight Cousins, when Rose is dressed up by her fashionable aunt. Alcott goes into excruciating detail on all the horrendousness that is her "trendy" outfit, from the mismatched patterns of the fabric to the heels and tight skirt that combine to make her totter and the veil that makes her see spots. It's very hilarious to read.
