Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.
I've bought eyeglasses from Zenni Optical twice. The second time, just about an hour ago! They are cheap even for high-index lenses, and fast, and resolve questions/problems quickly IME. They have a big inventory, and a virtual try-on tool. As long as you know all your numbers like pupillary distance, you can order glasses; you don't have to actually send them your prescription. Which is handy for getting, for instance, under-corrected lenses for reading without having to explain why you want something that isn't your exact prescription.

I have a large number of plastic containers and a large number plastic container lids. The subset where lid and container match is small. I was getting some pieces from the attic to try to match a few of them and a bunch of lids fell on my head and then scattered across the room. The dogs ran outside and refused to come back in until they didn't see any more dangerous plastic.

OMG Jilli MUST come visit, Pete too, but only if I can squish his face like a batty old aunt would do. Here's what I'd do, deck out the guest room with all the Halloween stuff and prepare visits to any and all rumored haunted areas nearby, including a long rumored alien in a cemetery.
