Also going up to Yardley tonight to see old friends, yay.

Sounds like fun... I'll be up there for Christmas weekend this year. And restorative naps are a must on the day after, I find.

Today is clean, wash, and organize All the Things day. Yay? But first, scrambled eggs and toast.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Got some errands to run, including a trip to Toys-R-Us. Which is having a gigantic sale today. This won't be pretty...

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Love Isaac's joke and tipsy Amy. Dislike ita !'s boss-type person.

What the pretty lady said!

Today is for running All The Errands: CD store, bookstore, TJs, and then somewhere that will have wrapping paper, photo albums, and calendars. Sounds like Target, I guess? Then a holiday party for my choir at 4, and then at 7 M and I are going out to our favorite local bar for their annual performance of the Charlie Brown Christmas music. A new tradition for us!

Tomorrow is for resting, and wrapping presents.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

M and I are going out to our favorite local bar for their annual performance of the Charlie Brown Christmas music.

Ooo, that sounds like fun. There's a couple of art markets I'd like to check out this weekend, but being sick and broke I'm going to have to ration my energy and money pretty carefully.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Morning all! Amy, glad to see that you are feeling pretty good this morning.

I realized I HAVE to mail off a couple packages today if I want to meet the Xmas deadline. Oops. Bigger oops? Failed to order my Xmas cards, so now will order late and they will be New Years cards I guess? Minor parental fail, folks.

But there's coffee now brewed, so I'm going to pour a cup and hang out with my kids.

Trust my rage

no slinking, Amy! I enjoyed your tipsiness vicariously.

Today, I have nothing planned. Frisco has said he wants to go get donuts and Ellie asked if we could get beads to make a necklace for her teacher, so maybe we will do that.

I am now 35 weeks (pregnant, in case that wasn't clear). Things like going up the stairs, starting the washing machine, and pouring milk (seriously!) now bring on Braxton-Hicks. And my pelvis feels so loose and wiggly that I am consciously moving both legs together whenever I need to move to the side. Oh and instead of kicking, the baby just focuses his efforts on stretching and poking me from the inside with his knees and feet.

But despite all that, I love this part of pregnancy. It's fun to feel him move and feel his actual body parts. Makes him seem more real. I was showing the kids a video of a birth last night and just listening to the woman laboring made me tear up.

So, to sum up this post, I'm physically uncomfortable but mentally happy.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Heh, Amy -- it's rather fun to read in the morning.

Oh, and the frames for glasses I still love the most of the ones I've owned was gotten by asking the nice optometrist to suggest a pair for me. Totally frames I would not have chosen, but that which looked great on my face... sometimes sitting back and letting the professional whom you can see knows their stuff do their job is the best strategy.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

That sounds actually awesome, Stephanie.

Burrell, no shame in New Year's cards! My parents have definitely sent out a holiday letter for Valentine's Day -- what, it's a holiday!

Ooh, Stephanie, that's exciting! I mean, I'm sorry you're feeling physically uncomfortable, but it's exciting to think that you're so close to meeting the baby. I hope the next few weeks go as easily as possible!
