question to settle a dispute between Beau and me:
We are watching "Heathers." I said, this is back when Christian Slater was cool. He said, "Christian Slater was never cool. He was a product of Hollywood and directors made him look cool."
Which is it?
Well, "cool" is kind of in the eye of the beholder, you know? But in my HS circle, he was conceived as "cool" for sure.
Hell yeah he was cool. Between Heathers and Pump Up the Volume? Cool.
I seem to recall thinking he was cool.
Christian Slater was totally cool.
Cool. Also, how is "made to look cool in movies" any different than the usual actor-cool?
I always wanted to smack him until he stopped speaking in his fake Jack voice. Uncool.
He was the other, other, other, other cool thing (no, missed one, still other) in Prince of Thieves: Rickman, Freeman, Mastrontonio, the actress who played Fannie, then Slater. Okay, well, sets, costumes, props, locations, bit players, extras, horses.... all of those were cool. But so was Slater.
...he was in Prince of Thieves?
