I was volunteering in Liv's classroom last week when a classmate told me she had lice. I had to wait an hour before I could talk to the teacher about it and get the scoop. Her mother had kept her home for two days while they dealt with it. But our district does not require it nor does it require the parents of the infected kids to even inform the school. And no other notification goes out if they do.
