You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Happy birthday, Gar!

Because books.

Happy birthday, Gar!

I'm not sure Ryan Gosling is really real at this point: [link]

Trust my rage

I have this idea that my clients sort of want/expect me to dress "like a lawyer". I'm not exactly sure what that means, except that if I'm going to see clients (or more importantly, I think, potential clients), I usually avoid jeans and before pregnancy, I would also avoid casual-type shoes.

I have no idea if my dress affects my clients' decision to hire me, but it's really not important enough to me to risk it.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

He's been taking ballet for a while, Amy. I'm not sure why blog outlets are blowing up today. Listen to him talk about it. It's entirely adorable.

Because books.

He has to know how adorable he is, right?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

It's a very big amount of adorability to wrap your head around. I wouldn't be mad at him if he didn't get the scale of it.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

If you have to travel to the office, do you dress consistently to work

I try, but sometimes (like today) the outfit doesn't quite work. (Knee-high boots do not work with short flippy skirts. I need a fashion intervention some days.)

Generally I wear skirts or slacks with a fitted top and a cardigan, because my office is cold. Sometimes I might wear a jacket or a sweater. On Fridays I might wear jeans. Once in a long while I'll wear a suit just for a change of pace, but hardly anyone (other than this one contractor who wears marvelous hats) ever comments on my clothing.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

I need help.

I have a series of gift card codes for DonorsChoose. They are tied to a program in my district and can only be used for projects within our district.

I have a project listed as do two coworkers of mine. [link] K also has two projects listed. [link]

We can only use one code with each email address. Would anyone be interested in being a donor? What that entails is either me sending a code to you and you going through the donation process and using the $15 card or we can make a donation with your name and email -- you get credit and we get funding.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I've got email addresses to spare, Kat. Don't need to credit, but happy to help.
