Giles: I'm sure we're all perfectly safe. Dawn: We're safe. Right. And Spike built a robot Buffy to play checkers with. Tara: It sounded convincing when I thought it.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Gawker is reporting that a frat passed around a questionnaire with the entry "If you could rape anyone who would it be?". Some posters are equating that question to FCM.

Hey, there's nothing like losing perspective to bolster support for your objection. Nothing like it.

Eek. Though I have to say, I saw several friends post that "Shit Girls Say" you tube, and I am really kind of annoyed. Mostly because a friend tried to talk me out of believing it's really offensive and sexist. Except it IS!! If a white person got dressed up in blackface and did a "Shit Black People Say", or a Christian got somehow dressed up as a Jew and did "Shit Jewish People Say", most reasonable people would, I think, agree it's awful. So why is a man getting dressed up as a woman and making fun of "girls" OK?

Aha! They're not talking about FCM. They're talking about fuck/kill/marry. Because you're fantasizing about killing someone.

The person who said so admitted they hadn't played it, and maybe I'm interpreting the game wrong, but are people really fantasizing about murder?

I don't know from Shit Girls Say. I'm scared to look.

I've linked yoisthatracist twice now on Gawker, and it's gotten pretty funny responses. However, it keeps coming up that people should have asked themselves that question, so life is really sad.

Because books.

This. Although I did some people on my Twitter list posting stuff like Dorothy Parker quotes with the hashtag #shitgirlssay, in reaction, I guess.

I saw a board game the other day that was "Shag, Marry, Kill." way to take harmless fun and make it all creepy.

I don't get that at all. Unless people are focussing on the "kill" as something other than discarding--and I've never got that from the instances of the game I've seen played.

Also, I don't know if they're "taking". We may be playing the bowdlerised version. Does anyone know which came first?

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I learned it as Marry Fuck Kill, so when you guys were chucking instead of killing, I was confused.

Because books.

Fuck, Chuck, Marry just *sounds* best anyway.

It sounds kind of like Upchuck Mary.

Fuck, chuck, marry rolls right off the tongue.

I just read that on March 8th, 2012, women should wear bright red lipstick in order to support this effort on International Women's Day. Making note in calendar now.
