Better than a half hour into it?
Natter 69: Practically names itself.
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
There's a whole season of a show called "Finding Bigfoot."
This is why I only watch Animal Planet during the day..
Good call. "Because, you know, we're really not supposed to take personal calls during the work day...."
I had to draw a line with my sister, and explain that "you can call me any time" meant if it was an emergency, and not to discuss the finer points of laser hair removal (for real that convo happened at work). This was years ago, and she gets it now.
A student just emailed me, half an hour before the final exam starts, to ask what room it's in.
I'll admit to doing similar things. Either I'm convinced something is in X room and discover I was wrong when I get there, or I'm sure I have the location written on something I'm taking with me, except when I get there, my note has disappeared.
The Man is responsible for so much nastiness. I say it's only fair to use him for a good excuse now and then. He can bear the extra guilt.
I'll suggest he write stuff down to refer to when he calls me at home after work hours.
Does he text? That would be a good solution.
He does not text, and I kind of don't want him to learn.

Well, he knows that we all got the smackdown a few years ago about personal calls; I think he remembers that in the back of his mind but then, like I said, something occurs to him ("Can you order a paper shredder for me on Amazon and have it sent to your brother by Christmas?") and he needs to ask/tell me about it right away, before he forgets. So I'll mention the idea of writing stuff down for later.
but tonight thank god it's them, instead of you...
My favourite line of that song. Bono's delivery really stands out after the Paul Youngs/Boy Georges/George Michaels of the world.

I remember staying up late (hey, I was in grade school -- possibly 7th grade at the most) to watch the premiere of the video, and WRITING IN MY DIARY how excited I was to see it. Trufax. I might even still have that diary somewhere (IIRC, it was a Hello Kitty diary). I should look for it.
Yeah, Bono lets it fly.
Back from volunteering in Matilda's class.
I failed to properly cut the construction paper in half. Which got me the same look from the teacher that Jacqueline's doctor gave when I failed to count properly to ten.
Also, apparently I was helping Elliott a little too much on figuring out his pattern since I was told, "Why don't you help Elliott by standing back over here..."
But they were all freakin' cute, and I got to chat with a lot of them, and Isabella asked why I talk so fast, and I successfully copied field trip forms and helped make snowmen out of socks.
Also, Matilda was doing okay and I took her to the bathroom and applied more medicine at lunch. Sadly, our lunches are not nearly as nice as the other kids lunches. Gotta work on that. But she doesn't eat much! Either in quantity or variety.

I had that song on 45.
