Our wings are not tired.

Mystery news of the morning to me is Men's Health choice of Jennifer Aniston as hottest woman of all time. I understand that I am likely not the best judge of what is hott in a woman, but she wouldn't be on my top 10 list. Now Salma would make the list.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

1. There is a porn version of Alice in Wonderland made in 1976.

I've seen it. For a while, the student group at my college that showed movies on campus would show a "Special Movie" right before finals, which would always be porn. And, because of the setup of the theatre, it had to be something on actual film, not video, which pretty much meant seventies or earlier. First semester of my freshman year, they showed this one.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Mystery news of the morning to me is Men's Health choice of Jennifer Aniston as hottest woman of all time.

I don't get it either. I guess that Jennifer Aniston has the hottest publicist of all time.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I'm so sorry to hear about Byron, Pix.

Supposedly there was a protest against BBC News outside the other office on Friday? I wonder if the protesters ever realized there is no BBC News in that building?

A whole bunch of companies pulled their ads from "All-American Muslim" after the Florida Family Association protested. [link] I've watched a few episodes of the show -- pretty much, it's just some Muslims in Dearborn living like people live. One guy coaches high school football. Another guy is a sheriff's deputy. That guy's wife works in PR for a car company, and they've got four little kids who always seem to be running around and screaming to illustrate how stressed their mother is. There's a bleach blonde who wants to open a nightclub. There are some women who wear hijab, and others who don't. There's the woman portrayed as the "rebel" because she wears tank tops and goes to country music concerts, but no one in her family really does much more about it than roll their eyes and figure that one day she'll grow up and settle down. There was one scene where a Muslim woman was marrying a non-Muslim man, and he agreed to convert to Islam, and the conversion ceremony was in the family's living room, with the bride's father reciting things in Arabic and the groom repeating them, while the bride and her sisters watched and joked around about it.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

mac is sick. I do not do with with bodily fluids other than blood. I gag a lot. it makes him feel bad, so I have clipped my nose shut with random office tools and thrown cat litter onto his bathroom floor. I think we will both sleep a good chunk of the day.

unrelatedly, I think you can gather all about my childhood sex talk (or lack thereof) by the fact that there was no porn to be found in my childhood home, nor girlie mags, nor sex topic books, nothing of that ilk.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I'm pretty furious with the companies who are bending to right-wing xenophobia and bigotry.

I have the companies on a list and I am strongly considering boycotting them. I have not needed to make a choice as to whether to buy from them at this point, but I can't support their actions. it is straight up cowardice.

Of the stores that pulled their ads:

Lowe’s, Bank of America, the Campbell Soup Co., Dell, Estee Lauder, General Motors, Goodyear, Green Mountain Coffee, McDonalds, Sears, and Wal-Mart

The only ones I am/have been a customer of are Lowe's, McDonalds, and Sears. To boycott those (especially Lowe's and Sears) would be very difficult. But I'm thinking about doing it.

Hmm. Only one I support regularly is Campbell Soup, and I can do without them pretty easily.

it is straight up cowardice.

Absolutely.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Once again, I can claim to boycott companies I don't really use anyway....

(Although in the case of McDonald's, it's just because there isn't one convenient to me.)
