brillig

(Uh, not Conan himself.)

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

I could see it with a Barry Windsor-Smith Conan more than a John Buscema Conan.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Aside from the fact that he would snap Hec like a little twig.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

That sounds like a good talk, msbelle.

My mother tried to have a sex talk with me at about that age which involved anatomical labeled drawings that she drew herself, which was embarrassing for all concerned.

I pretty much learned from romance novels, which is not ideal, I guess, especially since Jondalar's giant womanmaker was a little unrealistic.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I'm trying to decide what to do with the rest of my day. I'm thinking about going to a movie -- either Hugo or the Muppets. I need to buy some presents. I need to go grocery shopping, too, and that's got to be soon, because I don't really have anything to make for dinner. For presents, I wanted to try to buy as much as I could from local businesses rather than Amazon this year, but most of what my family wants isn't available locally. (There are enough books on their lists that I'd buy books at a local bookstore if I had a local bookstore, but the local bookstore closed last year after a dispute with their landlord, and they keep announcing that they've got a new location and will be opening again "soon," but it hasn't happened yet.)

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

8? 9? I don't think I started looking at porn until I was 12 or so, perhaps when I discovered my uncle got the Playboy channel. And then at home, I was always sneaking down to watch Cinemax.

Before then, I remember seeing Coming to America with my parents and, I think, covering my own eyes when there were boobies on the screen (which, I believe, were the first boobies I'd seen). And when I watched Candyman at night by myself, I again covered my own eyes when there were boobies on the screen. I can't imagine looking at porn when I was 8 or 9. I am pretty sure my parents and I never discussed sex at all.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Beautifully said, msbelle!

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

I could see it with a Barry Windsor-Smith Conan more than a John Buscema Conan.

Both have their charms...and by charms I mean...

msbelle, you are the best mom that kid could ever have! Hang in there!

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

I believe I've mentioned before that my entire sex talk from my mother was "You've read enough to know...."

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I've never had an actual sex talk with my parents.
