Sumi, I'm seen scads of tabi-sock patterns available online for free. I was thinking of making myself a pair, as the most comfortable shoes I have for wearing around the house for the combined neuroma/plantar fascitis issue are orthopedic flip flops. They're comfy, but they're effing cold.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Exactly.
We could have a tabi-sock kal!
Ooh. That sounds delightful. Sumi, are you on Ravelry?
Yes, as sumik.
Friend me!
JZ is in my front room taking pictures of stuff we hope to sell on ebay and Craig's list, which is just awesome.
Less awesome is the fact that she is making me look up stuff about Fluevog shoes online when I am not allowed to buy anything.
Thanks, sumi!
Which...seriously? How many of you would your boss offer to take your place in a hostage situation with a gun-toting woman?? (My sister pointed out that her boss probably would, which I believe, but he's a firefighter. And crazy.)
I think it's entirely possible my big bosses would for me (and vice versa) since we're relatives, but while the people directly above me are very supportive supervisors, offering themselves in a hostage trade would be above and beyond the call of duty.
You're welcome. I'm excited about the prospect. Part of my excitement is no doubt due to the tangled mess I've made of my current project. .. which is Christmas knitting for my niece and MUST GET DONE.
My current boss, despite being extremely high strung and a micromanager, would offer herself. She would think it was her duty as the boss, plus she'd note that she's very well insured.
There's no way anyone at my office would do that.
