Ah, yes, of course. The gypsies, they gave you your soul. The gypsies are filthy people. Ptui! We shall speak of them no more.

Trust my rage

My favorite tea is Good Earth. I swear, it tastes richer than any other tea I've tried.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

but isn't Batman also attractive women?

Within the comic? Selina, Talia, etc? Or to the readers? Because (my demisexuality and Batman's fictionality notwithstanding), I don't find Batman sexually attractive. He's scary and fucked-up.

Nightwing, OTOH.... (And I know some of the comments on that Shortpacked are along the lines of, "Hey, didn't Amber basically draw Nightwing?")

Because books.

Isn't that part of a male power fantasy (in a way that doesn't translate as effectively across the genders)? I mean, the powerful male superhero is sexier than the sexy female superhero is powerful?

I think that's probably true a lot of the time.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I mean, the powerful male superhero is sexier than the sexy female superhero is powerful?

I think that's the problem?

Now tagless for your comfort.

What part of "don't read the comments" don't I understand.

Head, meet desk.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

It's not about the personality--they're not necessarily portraying the women as particularly sexual people, but they're drawn that way.

And I'm just saying that the way the men are drawn is also sexually attractive, even though it's secondary--it's a side effect of their power. What that woman drew is further away from the typical male physical ideal than how Batman looks now.

Hey, didn't Amber basically draw Nightwing?

But she didn't. There aren't any, as far as I know, major DC or Marvel male characters with that degree of facial feminisation.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

I finally found a duvet cover I like - [link] Now to figure out if I can afford it (currently my white duvet is sandwiched between a cheapass green fleece blanket and a sheet, so I'd like to upgrade).

Of course, a female character drew it, but it was still a man drawing the comic.

Oh, good god. I'm watching Dinner With Schmucks, and I hear Kieran's accent, and I think "Bingo! That's a NZ accent! That's the same one as in Flight of the Conchords!"

Well, yes it is. No coincidence, that. I'm very clever. Not. And why am I watching another movie about a really annoying guy the protagonist bumps into who has a complete lack of self-awareness?

I know. It's kind of my point--that's *not* who most women are thinking should come and whisk them away from peril and sex them into next week. Being drawn by a man could likely be the source of that disconnection.
